About 18 months ago, I began to experience significant pain in my right leg and lower back. It became so painful that for 7 months I was unable to sit for more than a few minutes without experiencing extreme pain. I was not sleeping well or experiencing restorative sleep. I was suffering physically, and my mental health began to deteriorate. My ability to work diminished, which adversely affected my business and my employees. I was fortunate enough to be able to turn to the private system for MRI which revealed a herniated disc.
Concerned that any ongoing delay in treatment would have a continuing negative impact on both my mental and physical health, I turned to a private clinic. I was able to arrange a surgery in short order and made a full recovery. Had it not been for that, I have no idea if I would still be functioning in any meaningful capacity. I am so grateful and blessed I had the opportunity and the means to pursue this avenue.
