Had to wait 18 months for MRI which was done 2 years ago. I have a right meniscus tear with cyst and my GP and sports medicine doctor say I won't even get to see a surgeon as I am not crippled enough. It's true, I am not incapacitated but my normal activity program is compromised and I would like an opinion to see if arthroscopic surgery would fix my bothersome knee.

It the government cannot provide surgeons with OR time, or OR nurses then we should be able to access alternative methods. I am a believer in our socialized system but waiting until one can't walk for a surgical opinion is ridiculous.
