I started experiencing severe back pain in early September and had to go to Emergency. They gave me very powerful painkillers and ordered a CT scan, which I had a week later, I needed an MRI and started being a very squeaky wheel, so instead of having it next February I had it done within a few weeks, it was very bad new, a severely herniated and extruded disc in my low back. Despite the fact that I already had a neurosurgeon, I wasn’t considered Emergent for surgery, just Urgent. Which means within 3 months. I fear I will be addicted to opioids by the time my surgery takes place. Our medical system is a mess, and I fully support private surgery clinics.
