Politicians and Workers Compensation Board patients jump queue

Dr. Raymond Grant, BC, Canada

I've been wondering for years why the public, and the news media who report on medical issues, seem to be almost totally unaware of how many WCB patients jump the queue and are treated at private facilities. If it were a private member of the public, or an MLA as was the case one spring (during the illegal HEU labor action) when a BC Liberal Cabinet Minister paid for his own surgery at a private clinic it was a headline front page story in the Vancouver Sun.

When i first got injured i had 2 operations just to hold my pelvis together. And because " I am considered too young to receive a hip replacement I have to wait so don't say I am jumping the Queue.
