October 7th, 2016

suffering from very advanced diverticular disease. after a serious bout and 3 visits to er, I was admitted in shock and dehydrated and severe abdominal and spinal pain...given morphine IV each time. Xray found something on right bowel..ER doctor referral to GI specialist....18 month wait for colonoscopy and biopsy...my dad died at 60 in 6 months from bowel cancer..I have been screened every 5 years for this reason.....my doctor says the only way I can handle the pain is to go to ER for morphine IV.....while we wait.....and wait....I hope they do the biopsy during my autopsy ..this is costing the health care system much more than if they let me go to a specialist private clinic...
